COVID-19 progression in Portugal

This post gathers a series of data on the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic in Portugal.


Progression of the number of COVID-19 cases (confirmed, recovered, deaths, and active) since the first detected case in Portugal up to the most recent data.


Confirmed cases by one thousand inhabitant in five portuguese municipalities: Porto, Aveiro, Gondomar, Matosinhos, and Lisboa. Data is available up to 26-10-2020.


New cases and deaths per day shown as a seven day rolling average.

Hospitalized cases and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) hospitalized cases. Orange line represents the total ICU capacity in the portuguese Serviço Nacional de Saúde.1


Progression of testing showing the number of samples tested and the number of samples with a positive result. Note that for each case more than one sample is tested.
